The Philippines is a paradise made up of over 7,000 islands, where every beach feels more beautiful than the last and every island has its own unique charm. With 2 full weeks to explore, our Philippines itinerary took us from the powdery white sands of Boracay, the city life of Cebu, and the stunning marine scenes in Moalboal, Oslob, and Bohol.
This journey is the ultimate mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural discovery—from sunset paddleboarding and snorkel safaris to sampling local eats and wandering historic streets. We’ll dive into everything you need to know, including where we stayed, what we spent, and the activities that made this trip unforgettable. Heads up: There were a lot of micro-transactions – little fees here and there that added up and we’ve included those in the prices. Now, let’s get into the details of each island, each adventure, and every mouthwatering meal!
OVERVIEW (CITY BREAKDOWN; Detailed itineraries for each city are linked below)
Days 1-2: Arrive in Philippines. Likely you’ll be landing in Manila, so stock up on cash (PHP) and try to get over that jetlag!
Days 3-6: Boracay
Days 7-10: Cebu City & Moalboal
Days 11-14: Oslob (Stopover) & Bohol
Days 3-6: Boracay
Boracay, a tropical paradise in the Philippines, is renowned for its pristine white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. What makes Boracay unique is its blend of laid-back island vibes with thrilling activities like watersports, all set against a backdrop of coconut trees and stunning sunsets. Divided into different “stations,” Boracay offers something for every traveler, whether you want to relax on the beach or seek out adventure.
– What we did (and what we highly recommend you don’t miss): Day 1 involved relaxing on the beach, renting a crystal kayak (optional), and trying paragliding for an unforgettable view of Boracay’s coastline (optional). On Day 2, we continued to enjoy beach time and water sports, soaking up the island’s natural beauty. Our highlight was the full-day island-hopping tour on Day 3, where we snorkelled, visited Crystal Cove (₱300 extra per person), and lounged on Puka Beach. Don’t miss Mang Inasal for their grilled chicken and the mango ice cream at HaloMango!
– Where we stayed: We opted for an Airbnb in Balabag, right across from Station 2, which offered free snorkel rentals! The lovely host even allowed us a late checkout due to nearby construction noise.
– Total spent (Approximate CAD, 2 people): Accommodations $163 + Activities $60 + Food $126 + Transportation (including flight from Manila to Boracay) $184 = $533 total.

Days 7-10: Cebu City & Moalboal
Nestled in the heart of the Philippines, Cebu City is a bustling urban hub with a rich history and lively culture, often dubbed the “Queen City of the South.” Known for its vibrant festivals, historical landmarks, and tasty lechon, Cebu offers a perfect blend of city life and coastal charm. Just a few hours away, Moalboal is a haven for beach lovers and adventure seekers, famous for its breathtaking sardine run and stunning coral reefs. We spent one full day in Cebu City and three days in Moalboal, diving into the best experiences these areas had to offer.
– What we did (and what we highly recommend you don’t miss): In Cebu City, we shopped at Ayala Center, tasted lechon at House of Lechon, and enjoyed halo-halo at Boy Belly. In Moalboal, we snorkelled the famous sardine run right off the shore, explored the beaches, and wrapped up with an adrenaline-pumping canyoneering tour at Kawasan Falls.
– Where we stayed: Gaja Go Dive and Inn in Moalboal, located right on Panangsama Road near the beach—ideal for snorkeling, affordable, and super convenient for local tours and dining.
– Total spent (Approximate CAD, 2 people): Accommodations $232 + Activities $121 + Food $145 + Transportation (including flight from Boracay to Cebu City) $167 + Souvenirs $3 = $668 total.
